We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Assistant Property Manager / Student Accommodation Housing Officerwith previous experience of delivering front line customer service in a front facing role helping vulnerable people, who has excellent communication and Microsoft Office skills.

Working as the Assistant Property Manager / Student Accommodation Housing Officer you will play a vital role in ensuring residents receive exceptional service, helping them feel at home while ensuring properties are well-managed and compliant.

As the Assistant Property Manager / Student Accommodation Housing Officer you will assist in delivering high-quality housing management and act as a single point of contact to provide excellent customer service to residents dealing with everything from handling tenancy paperwork to liaising with contractors.

DUTIES

Your duties as an Assistant Property Manager / Student Accommodation Housing Officer will include:

1. Participate in the accommodation allocation process including issuing of all tenancy paperwork, dealing with end of tenancy paperwork and notices, ensuring vacant properties are ready to let and collection of advance payments
2. Responsible for daily cover for handling reception duties, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, managing appointments, and providing general administrative support
3. Carry out day-to-day administrative duties including being the point of contact for their customers and partner organisations, issuing letters and notices, producing invoices, and responding to enquiries
4. Assist the Property Managers with low level arrears, maximising the Groups income
5. Report repairs where required and escalate issues/actions required where necessary
6. Assist the Area Manager in monitoring contractor performance
7. Liaise with contractors and customers on planned inspection & testing visits including updating and maintaining records
8. Assist the Property Managers to carry out and monitor regular estate and property inspections, ensure accurate records are maintained and actions are taken to deal with issues
9. Assist the Area Manager by monitoring expenditure against budget, monitoring use of stock and working with internal teams on service charge estimates and accounts
10. Assist the Property Manager to encourage and support occupants of buildings towards good housekeeping and fire safety practices
11. Assist Property Managers in resolving customer queries promptly, including liaison with the Operational Teams, customers, partnering Trusts as required
12. Maintain all relevant documentation to the required standards at both the organisation and premises level
13. Build relationships and work with both internal and external stakeholders to support the customers
14. Attend and represent the organisation with support, at internal and external meetings and forums when required
15. Produce reports using standard templates to monitor performance and assist in ensuring tenancy management objectives are achieved

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

16. Educated to GSCE level (Grades A*-C) in Math and English or equivalent
17. Previous experience of delivering front line customer service in a front facing role
18. Proven experience of problem solving for customers and understanding their needs, including vulnerable people
19. Ability to multi-task, thrives in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail
20. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
21. A good level of IT knowledge, including Outlook, Word and Excel
22. Whilst prior experience in housing isn’t essential, it is highly desirable
