Tradewind Recruitment are proud to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Potters Bar, Hertsmere, Hertfordshire, who are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS2 pupil in a mainstream setting.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, with the intention to offer a long-term, permanent contract after two successful terms. The child, currently in Year 3, has Williams Syndrome and complex needs, and is already well-settled within the school environment.
The Role
* 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with Williams Syndrome in a mainstream classroom
* Supporting learning, emotional regulation, and social development
* Implementing strategies from EHCPs and working closely with the SENCo
* Encouraging independence while providing consistent support
* Working collaboratively with the class teacher and wider inclusion team
* Supporting transitions, routines, and personalised learning activities
Pay & Working Pattern
* £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience)
* Full-time, term-time only
* Temporary to permanent contract
* Start date: immediately after half-term (or sooner for the right candidate)
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience supporting children with SEN (1:1 experience essential)
* Experience with complex needs and/or Williams Syndrome highly desirable
* Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
* Confident working in a mainstream classroom setting
* Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
* Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check
