NQ Employment Lawyer (Contentious & Non-Contentious)

I’m currently working with a well-regarded, growing law firm seeking to recruit a Newly Qualified Employment Lawyer to its established Employment team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to gain exposure to a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work, advising a high-quality client base across a range of sectors.
The Opportunity
You will join a supportive and collaborative team, working closely with experienced partners and senior associates on a wide variety of matters. The role offers strong development opportunities and early responsibility, making it ideal for someone looking to build a well-rounded employment practice.
The Role
Contentious Work:
* Advising on a range of Employment Tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, and whistleblowing
* Managing cases from initial instruction through to hearing
* Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements
* Assisting with negotiations, mediations, and settlements
Non-Contentious Work:
* Providing day-to-day employment law and HR advice to clients
* Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and handbooks
* Advising on disciplinary and grievance procedures
* Supporting corporate transactions, including due diligence and TUPE matters
* Assisting with restructurings, redundancies, and senior exits
About You
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or due to qualify shortly)
* Ideally, completed at least one seat in employment law during your training contract
* Strong academic background and excellent drafting skills
* Commercially aware with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
