Salary: £44,075 – £49,282 per annum.

Job Description
As an advanced practitioner you will be the allocated social worker for a limited number of children with complex family circumstances. Under the direction of the Team Manager, you will co‑work and provide support to social workers to increase their knowledge and skills in high quality assessment, analysis and risk management. You will have supervisory responsibility for a small number of workers and will support reflective and group supervision within the team.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist social work care to children with complex family circumstances.
* Co‑work with social workers to enhance their assessment, analysis and risk management skills.
* Supervise a small number of workers and support reflective and group supervision.
* Conduct high quality assessment and analysis of children’s needs.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to add expertise across services.
* Stay current with child protection, court work and alternative care best practice.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 3 years’ post‑qualifying experience in children’s social care.
* Experience of mentoring and supervising other social workers.
* Sound knowledge and experience of court work, including child in need, child protection plans, and alternative carers.
* Experience with pre‑proceedings and care proceedings.
* Supported by business support colleagues and a team of dedicated social work support officers.
* Appointment is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
