We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Hostel Cleanings Operative, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £15.77 per Hour Summary: The Hostel Cleansing Operative will be responsible for providing high quality cleaning service in flats and communal area in Hostel/s across the City, which provide accommodation for vulnerable families and single people with complex needs. Responsibilities: To provide a high-quality cleaning service and taking full responsibility for specific tasks in communal areas and residential flats within Hostels. To follow all cleaning procedures. To support the councils policies and procedures regarding Health and Safety and safe working practices. To risk assess areas work and tasks to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for employees and public at large. Identify repairs and report the condition of the flats and the communal areas within the hostel/s. Qualifications: Demonstrates literacy & numeracy skills Possesses a professional recognised cleaning qualification (desirable) Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates the ability to communicate well in a manner appropriate to individual needs, by phone or in person. Demonstrates the ability to apply a methodical approach. Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team, showing a willingness to assist others and a commitment to meeting the objectives of the team. Demonstrates the ability to work unsupervised.
