Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant | Durham | Want to start a career in education but don’t know where to begin? We’re working with a specialist SEN school in Durham that supports students aged 11–19 with autism and complex learning needs. The school is looking for patient, supportive individuals who are ready to make a difference. Your role will include: Supporting students 1:1 and in small classroom groups Encouraging confidence, communication, and independence Assisting students with autism and additional learning needs Learning from experienced SEN staff and teachers every day What we’re looking for: A caring and dependable attitude Someone willing to learn and get involved Any experience with young people is beneficial, including coaching, care, or youth work What’s on offer: Full training and ongoing support Valuable experience within SEN education Opportunities to progress into permanent or Level 2/3 TA roles All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
