The role
Advert 36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, Permanent Applications for this post will only be accepted from current employees of West Lothian Council (this includes casual and agency staff who are currently undertaking work for us) An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy payroll team who are responsible for updating and maintaining the Council’s payroll records, including pension and tax returns. As a key player, you will ensure all payrolls are completed accurately, on time and required outputs are produced and delivered The ideal candidate would have previous experience of working within a busy payroll or similar department, have well developed customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure whilst having the attention to detail. Ideally the successful candidate would have experience of working within local government but not essential. In addition, experience of using the Council’s HR & Payroll system iTrent would be preferential although training will be provided We are keen to employ a diverse workforce that reflects the people of Scotland.
