Develop the functions and structure of the wards to bestmeet the mental health needs of children, young people, adults and theirfamilies/carers. Develop and ensure that ward clinical and operation protocolsare kept up to date.
Ensure that clinical nursing provision is delivered to thehighest possible standards in accordance with the hospital operational plan,relevant national policy and legislation and to meet the requirements specifiedby the NHSE service specification.
Deliver specialist clinical nursing skills to assesspatients needs, provide care, manage treatment programmes, coordinate pathwaysand provide specialist nursing input across the patient caseloads.
Main duties of the job

Support and contribute to the development andapplication of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements toensure compliance with internal and external governance and best practicerequirements.
Provide local leadership and adherence to theservice lines infection prevention and control (IPC) policies, linking withrelevant staff and ensuring that IPC work plans are locally agreed, fit forpurpose and translated into required action.
Work closely with the hospitals pharmacy serviceand nursing teams to ensure safe and clinically effective systems are in placein relation to maintaining excellent audited standards in hospital clinicrooms.

Riverdale Grange Hospitalis a Specialist Eating Disorders Hospital for both CAMHs and Adult patients.Initially opening in 1995 for adult patients only and then in 2007 for CAMHspatients. Although Riverdale Grange is an independent hospital it only providesbeds for the NHS and is commissioned by the South Yorkshire and BassetlawProvider Collaborative.
Thereare 18 beds within the hospital 9 Adult and 9 CAMHs, CAMHs patients are from 13to 18 years old and the adult ward is from 18+. All patients admitted toRiverdale Grange Hospital must have a primary diagnosis of and recognisedeating disorder. Riverdale Grange Hospital does admit detained patients andpatients that require Naso-Gastric feeding in order to prevent physical healthdeterioration.
