Job Description
The Senior Manager for Laboratory Products Consumables and Equipment in EMEA is responsible for portfolio growth, achieving revenue and sales targets, and managing resources. Reporting to the Regional Senior Director Sales, the role involves building relationships with key customers, ensuring effective sales and service, and attracting and retaining Technical Sales Specialists. Key functions include delivering strategic business goals, collaborating with marketing and sales teams, and implementing business plans to achieve objectives, including growth initiatives and new product introductions.
Major Responsibilities
This individual’s responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
* Scope out the short and long-term strategic and operating plans for the portfolio.
* Implement the commercial strategies, ensuring alignment with the global and regional plans.
* Ensure alignment across the Regional Commercial Sales, Service, Marketing, Channel teams for consistency with strategy & tactical plans.
* Through Technical Sales Specialists, advise on selling Laboratory Product Division’s Equipment, Consumables, and services to customers and prospects in all market segments.
* Identify and evaluate market opportunities for growth – engage in business development for new technologies or market segments.
* Ensure a financially sound operation with confirmed corporate governance and compliance.
* Handle the business’s budget appropriately.
* Partner with other team members, globally and regionally, to implement cross-functional strategies for accelerated growth.
* Monitor market intelligence and stay ahead of competition, economic trends, and regulatory environment.
* Lead a technically savvy team: hire, empower, and retain staff to build a successful team.
* Work with Planner, BU, to lead demand and improve the allocation process.
* Develop a new team structure to address market changes and deliver company goals and results.
Key Relationships
Reports to: Regional Senior Sales Director
Other key relationships: Regional District Managers, Technical Sales Specialist Managers, Commercial Managers, Regional Sales and Channel leaders in EMEA, Regional Marketing Team in EMEA
