Role Information The school is seeking a committed Attendance Officer to oversee all attendance monitoring, follow-up, interventions, and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Monitor daily attendance, punctuality, and registration data Contact parents/carers regarding absences, lateness, and follow-up queries Work closely with Heads of Year, safeguarding leads, and pastoral teams Conduct home visits (with another staff member) when necessary Maintain attendance records in SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom Prepare weekly, monthly, and termly attendance reports Support whole-school attendance strategies and improvement plans Meet with students who require attendance support and set clear targets Escalate concerns to safeguarding and EWS when appropriate Ensure all attendance work follows statutory DfE guidance This role is vital in ensuring students are present, engaged, and supported.
