Adroit People is currently hiring Title: Senior Portfolio Manager Location: Warwick and Wokingham Employment Type: Contract Mode of Work: Hybrid, UK Key word: Portfolio Manager, Telecom, Pre-sales Job Description Role purpose: As part of the Account Leadership Team, you will be accountable for our most complex change programmes from pre-sales to in-life services, planning and delivering successful outcomes for our customers.Specialising in complex delivery, mission critical infrastructure and digital technology for large enterprises and Public Sector. You are able to manage complexity and work at pace with Agile delivery practices and mind set.Key for this role is the ability to lead and shape opportunities with good technical networks knowledge and excellent commercial acumen.Autonomously, setting the direction and roadmap, providing thought leadership and strategies to influence and realise the opportunities and deliver programme benefits and outcomes. Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 1) Leadership, Communication & Stakeholder Management - Establishes strong relationships across Vodafone, customers and vendors at all levels. Uses data and analysis to present and provide insight and influence decision-making at a senior stakeholder level. - techniques. Supports the management team in developing our people. 2) Pre-sales engagement - Works and drives the bid team define delivery strategies shaping and influencing. - Leads the programme response on Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs) 3) Programme Management - Plans, creates and directs the team to deliver the programme roadmap and strategy from inception to in-life operations to realise the programme outcomes and benefits at the earliest opportunity - Makes data driven decisions, using factual data methods to evaluate performance, and where there is a need puts in strategies and measures for improvements. 4) Commercial Management - Drives revenue and margin improvements through a deep understanding of the contract, and Profit and Loss ( P&L ). - Complex Programes with values of >£30m - Establishes and manages budgets, deliverables, milestones and timescales to ensure all contractual obligations are met & programme benefits are measured. 5) Risk & Issue Management - Assesses and evaluates Programme Issues, Risks, Dependencies and defines strategies to manage impact on the contract and P&L benefits and outcomes. 6) Continuous Improvement and Best practice - Identifies and leads on lessons learned/continuous improvement driving efficiencies and productivity across processes and people. Core competencies, knowledge and experience: 1) Previous Experience - Passionate, highly motivated and driven with excellent problem-solving skills, able to deal with ambiguity and the pace of change across the sector. - Extensive track record in delivering large/complex, multi-tower, customer facing, ICT programmes. - Evidence of turning around programmes, using evaluation methods to perform root cause and gap analysis to formulate plans for programme recovery. - Pre-sales experience, leading and shaping Delivery strategies to clients. Experience in responding to bid PQQs and RFPs. 2) Programme Management - Thorough understanding and application of project/programme management methods and techniques. - A strong understanding of the strategic, commercial and operational impacts through the complete lifecycle. - Evidence margin and revenue improvements across Programmes. - Provides a QA and consultative approach to leading the team, providing coaching and mentoring to align to best practice, governance and policies. 3) Leadership - Applies a consultative approach at Executive level, internally and externally including customers and suppliers. - Confident and comfortable with ambiguity, has skills in conflict resolution and can make decisions that improve the outcome of ongoing projects and programmes. - An ambassador for delivery sharing knowledge and driving industry best practice across the practice. 4) Communication - Strong and robust Programme reporting with a focus on Risk, Issues, Dependencies and impact on benefits and outcomes. - Excellent written, oral and presentation, skills that provide insight and support decision making. Qualifications will include: MSP Practitioner Prince 2 Practitioner and/or PMI PMP ITIL Advanced 365 Office applications inc. MS Project. Six Sigma experience is desirable Agile experience is desirable Eligible for SC clearance Budget owned: The Programme Manager will be responsible for creating, analysing and managing the Programme Commercials. Key performance indicators: Shaping and Delivering programme strategies and outcomes to Time, Cost and Quality. Governance Audit.
