We’re seeking a proactive and commercially minded Loan Manager / Underwriter to play a key role in managing and growing our bridging loan portfolio (OPEN to specalist lending background).
This is focused on taking full ownership of deals, from initial assessment through to drawdown and redemption.
You’ll be the face of the lending team, liaising with brokers, solicitors, valuers, and borrowers to ensure smooth transaction progression and a high standard of service. Success will be driven by your ability to assess risk accurately, structure deals effectively, and manage loans efficiently, delivering strong outcomes for both clients and the business.
What You’ll Do:
* Manage bridging loans from initial assessment to drawdown and redemption.
* Conduct detailed risk analysis and ensure compliance with lending criteria.
* Maintain ongoing portfolio and case management, keeping borrowers, brokers, and internal stakeholders informed.
* Work closely with solicitors, valuers, and other professionals to progress loans efficiently.
What We’re Looking For:
* Ideally bridging finance experience.
* Strong understanding of deal structures, risk assessment, and property lending fundamentals.
* High attention to detail and ability to manage transactions independently.
* Experience in second charge, specialist lending, collections, recoveries, or case management is also considered if you understand bridging principles.
* Strong communication and relationship management skills.
