Our client is a well-respected UK owned electronics manufacturer/ distributor who supply electronic components across a range of industries, consumer electronics, industrial, automotive, and medical. They have assigned Vectis Recruitment to identify a General Manager to lead one of their UK businesses into its next phase of growth.
As General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the strategic direction, operational performance, and financial success of the business. You will lead a talented leadership team, drive commercial growth, and ensure operational excellence across all functions. Reporting into the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the company's long-term strategic plan
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion
Lead, inspire, and develop the senior management team
Oversee operations, including supply chain and engineering
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and industry standards
Identify new business opportunities, including product innovation and market diversification
The candidate:
Proven experience in a senior leadership role. Our client will consider candidates who are currently in a senior commercial/Sales Director who has the capability to step up into a Managing Director position.
Knowledge of the electronics sector is essential
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving growth and profitability
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Demonstrated ability to scale a business and lead organisational change
