We are recruiting for skilled engineers to join a busy food manufacturing environment. We have opportunities for both hands-on Shift Engineers and experienced Engineering Shift Leaders. Whether you are looking to focus on technical maintenance or step into a leadership role, we have a position for you.
Key Responsibilities – Shift Engineer
*
Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
*
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
*
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
*
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
*
Work closely with production teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
*
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Key Responsibilities – Engineering Shift Leader
*
Lead and supervise the engineering team during your shift.
*
Coordinate with production to prioritize maintenance and quickly resolve equipment issues.
*
Support team members in fault diagnosis and problem-solving.
*
Ensure health and safety compliance and promote a safe working culture.
*
Provide training and mentorship to team members.
*
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
What We’re Looking For
Shift Engineer:
*
Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering.
*
Practical experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
*
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
*
Flexible and willing to work rotating shifts.
Engineering Shift Leader:
*
Proven experience in an engineering role with supervisory or leadership responsibility.
*
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
*
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable for Both Roles: PLC experience, exposure to continuous improvement programs, multiskilled in mechanical and electrical disciplines, food manufacturing experience.
