Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Experimental Cancer Medicine Team (ECMT) at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust; an international leader in cancer research and the largest cancer treatment centre of its kind in Europe. You will be responsible for assisting the team of Project Managers supporting Investigator‑led research projects, particularly working on cancer of unknown primary (CUP) projects such as a multi‑centre blood and tissue study, patient focus groups, educational events, and supporting scientific abstracts and publications. Experience in a research/clinical trials environment and an understanding of study document management is essential. You will need to be proactive, able to work independently, and will liaise with a wide range of academic, clinical, managerial and administrative staff throughout the Trust, other institutions, grant bodies and pharmaceutical companies.

Responsibilities
Grant / Project Support
Proactively assist with the identification and tracking of funding opportunities appropriate to the research theme; assist with the production of grant applications, study document development and review, IRAS applications, and general project tasks such as questionnaire/survey design, database design, data entry, patient/sample tracking, and monitoring of study progress.
Request quotes, invoices and requisitions; assist with generation of study costings.
Finance & Activity Reporting
Coordinate data collection and perform data entry into applicable databases for annual reporting; ensure accurate reporting of funding, study identifiers, milestones, collaborations, intellectual property, and other data. Provide database support, perform publication searches, ensure data security, and raise any concerns to senior staff.
Communication
Develop knowledge of medical, financial, and technical terminology; act as primary point of contact for communication within and outside the team; produce visual materials and support formal reports to Boards; manage stakeholder queries and support presentations.
General
Organise internal and external meetings, workshops, public & patient involvement events, ordering supplies, and maintaining filing systems.
Training and Personal Development
Maintain professional development, participate in education programmes, and build effective relationships with research staff and partners.
