Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis to join our culinary team.
The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, support kitchen operations, and contribute to delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Duties
* Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards
* Support the food production process, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
* Supervise junior staff and coordinate tasks to optimise workflow during shifts
* Contribute to menu development and presentation under supervision
* Ensure all food preparation adheres to health and safety standards, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
* Support in managing stock levels, receiving deliveries, and rotating stock appropriately
* Assist with serving food during busy periods, ensuring customer satisfaction
Skills
* Proven experience in food production, cooking, or kitchen operations within a hospitality or restaurant setting
* Strong understanding of food safety protocols and hygiene standards
* Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in a culinary environment
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
* Team management skills with a focus on fostering a collaborative work environment
* Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices
* Ability to work under pressure during peak service times
* Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management
* Prior experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or similar roles is desirable but not essential
