About the role:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic After School and Breakfast Club Assistant to join our committed team at King’s Gate Primary School. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, creating a fun and engaging environment and ensuring the well-being of pupils outside of school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and engage children in a range of activities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
* Assist with serving breakfast and after-school snacks.
* Support children in their play, homework and social interactions.
* Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure the welfare of all children.
* Help set up and tidy the club space before and after sessions.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality wraparound care.
Person Specification:
* Passionate about working with children and creating a nurturing environment.
* Reliable, friendly, and able to work as part of a team.
* Experience in childcare or education is desirable but not essential.
* First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake training).
* A positive attitude and the ability to use initiative.
