Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Year 3 AM / Year 1 SEND PM Location: B29, Birmingham Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Start Date: ASAP Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a committed and experienced General Teaching Assistant to join the team in a primaery school in the B29 area of Birmingham. This full-time role involves supporting a Year 3 class in the mornings and providing focused SEND support in Year 1 during the afternoons. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils in Year 3 with classroom activities, group work, and individual learning tasks. Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND in Year 1, following EHCPs and tailored learning plans. Assist the class teachers with lesson preparation, behaviour management, and pupil engagement. Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment across both year groups. Collaborate with teaching staff and the SENCO to ensure effective support and progress for all pupils. Requirements: Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare-related qualification. Previous experience supporting pupils in KS1 and KS2 is essential. Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive classroom practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
