The Opportunity:Type: Field-based (home-based)Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (flexible)About the RoleAvantor is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join the UK Service team, covering a key territory in and around London.This is a field-based role focused on providing technical support across laboratory equipment, ensuring installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair activities are delivered to a high standard while maintaining strong customer relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, service, and repair laboratory equipment across client sitesPerform calibration, validation, and preventative maintenanceDiagnose faults and resolve technical issues independentlyDeliver a high-quality customer experience on-siteProvide technical guidance and support to customersPlan and manage service visits efficiently within the assigned territoryIdentify opportunities to support service and product offeringsCandidate ProfileDegree or diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 3+ years' experience in field service or technical supportStrong electronic and electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience working across multiple types of equipment or productsAbility to work independently in a field-based roleStrong customer-facing and communication skillsProblem-solving mindset with the ability to learn new technologiesFull, clean UK driving licenceWillingness to travel across the assigned territoryLocation RequirementCandidates should ideally be based in or near the following areas:SurreyBuckinghamshireHertfordshireGreater LondonProximity to these locations is important to ensure efficient travel and effective coverage of the customer base.Additional InformationTravel required across the South UK / London areaOngoing technical training, including quarterly sessionsApplyApplications are encouraged from candidates with relevant technical experience who are comfortable working independently and engaging directly with customers.#LI-REMOTEDisclaimer:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
