We are looking for an experienced radiation protection technologist to join our expanding Radiation Protection & Radiology Physics Department within the Medical Physics Service based at Hull University Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate will have, or be able to obtain within a reasonable time, RCT or AHCS registration as a clinical technologist.
The team currently is comprised of a chief technologist, four band 6 technologists (including this post), ten physicists and three trainees, including a PTP technologist apprentice trainee. * Advising clients on best practice and radiation regulatory requirements. This may involve some delivery of basic training.
* Travel, on average several times a week, sometimes long distance (e.g. Newcastle). The department has access to pool cars, but use of own car may be necessary at times when these are unavailable.
In our team, we believe in utilising the knowledge and skills of clinical technologists to their full extent, to provide the highest quality service to our clients and their patients.
