The role focuses on embedding a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies through data-driven analysis, leading improvement initiatives, and mentoring teams in the application of CI methodologies such as Kaizen, A3 Thinking, and Continuous Improvement Frameworks.

Success in this role requires a growth mindset, strong cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of the cultural challenges associated with implementing CI systems. The CI Practitioner plays a pivotal role in fostering a sustainable culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

* Coordinate and support the implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across all departments.
* Lead CI projects and improvement cycles aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving customer satisfaction.
* Monitor, track, and report on key CI metrics, including cost savings, return on investment (ROI), productivity, and quality improvements.
* Coach and mentor employees at all levels to build CI capability, leveraging frameworks such as A3 Thinking and other structured CI methodologies.
* Facilitate training sessions and workshops focused on CI tools and techniques, including Kaizen events, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate opportunities for operational improvements.
* Collaborate with the Operations Team to develop and implement Visual Management Systems and Visual Factories that enhance communication and drive engagement in performance metrics.
* Own and manage KPI dashboards, ensuring accurate data analysis to support business processes such as downtime reviews and performance tracking.
* Maintain comprehensive CI project documentation and progress reporting.
* Assist in standardizing best practices and maintaining consistent process documentation across departments.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation at all levels of the organization.
* Support strategic planning activities and ensure alignment between CI initiatives and overall business objectives.

Key Success Indicators:

* Demonstrated improvements in efficiency, cost savings, and quality performance.
* Positive feedback from stakeholders regarding CI initiatives and support.
* Increased employee engagement and participation in CI activities.
* Visible and sustainable enhancement of CI culture, including broader adoption and consistent use of CI tools and methodologies across the organization.

Other Duties:

* Support the investigation and reporting of customer complaints.
* Assist with incoming inspection, including sampling and analysis of raw materials.
* Contribute to Post-Market Surveillance (PMS) and Post-Market Clinical Follow-up (PMCF) activities.
* Participate in Lean Manufacturing projects and provide progress updates to the Continuous Improvement (CI) Management team in relation to key KPIs.

Personal Specifications:

Essential:

* A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Certified in Lean Six Sigma or a similar process improvement methodology (e.g., Green Belt).
* 1–2 years of experience in operational or process improvement roles, with a proven track record of delivering CI projects—ideally within a similar industry.
* Practical experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, PDCA, A3 Thinking) and a basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
* Excellent coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
* Effective project and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
* Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the confidence to present to senior stakeholders.
* Collaborative and adaptable, comfortable working in cross-functional teams and fast-paced production environments.
* Strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
