Health & Safety Officer
The Job:
A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join its team based at the Dungannon site. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. This role will involve ensuring that all Health & Safety policies and procedures are implemented effectively across the business, in line with relevant legislation and company standards. The position may also require occasional work across other company sites or departments within the wider group.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the company in implementing and maintaining Health & Safety policies and ensuring compliance with all legal obligations
* Provide professional advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees on all Health & Safety matters
* Assist in policy development, implementation, and continuous improvement
* Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring follow-up actions are implemented
* Prepare and maintain accurate reports, documentation, and audit records
* Participate in internal and external Health & Safety audits
* Deliver in-house Health & Safety training sessions and arrange external training as required
* Promote and support a strong safety culture across all departments
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and core values, as outlined in the employee handbook
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by management

The Candidate:
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
* 3–5 years’ experience in a similar Health & Safety role, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and competence
* Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice
* Proven experience conducting inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
* Full driving licence and access to transport (or ability to fulfil travel requirements of the role)
* Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field)
* Recognised training qualification
The Package:
* Salary £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
