Description Salary £32,061 - £36,363 Per annum | Fixed Term - 13/01/2027| Full Time - 37 hours per week International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship The Access to Education service works with colleagues, schools, children and families across Lancashire to support children to engage with education and improve attendance at school. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Children Missing Education team to identify children missing education – including tracking children out of the authority who have moved away from Lancashire or gone missing with their families and working with families in Lancashire to engage their children into education. We are looking for a well-organised and pro-active team player with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work with a caseload of families from a diverse array of backgrounds and circumstances, supporting and challenging them as necessary to ensure their children access education. The post holder will have excellent advocacy skills and an ability to influence professionals across a range of agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people in Lancashire. You will work with a well-established, supportive team, committed to delivering a quality service that safeguards the education welfare of children in Lancashire. As this is an agile role which will include travel to various locations across Lancashire, a driving licence and own vehicle will be necessary. The team office base is in Chorley. We support hybrid working and offer flexibility and choice around working arrangements, however, there will be an expectation that the successful candidate will attend the office base regularly as part of their induction process and to maintain team relationships.
