Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Contracts Specialist, based in Aberdeen. This a long term contract role with a large North Sea operator and it will be to support a portfolio of major capital projects, decommissioning and subsea contracts. This role would suit someone who has been working at a similar level with another North Sea operator.
This Contract Specialist position will be responsible for the contractual management and administration of capital projects (including decommissioning / Plug and Abandonment activities). Responsibilities: - Manage post award contract / commercial management of the contracts already in place (Subsea, Topsides and Decommissioning): - Including contract progress verification, change management, claims mitigation, invoice verification and closeout. - Oversee preparation and administration of minor third-party contracts. - Ensure all compliance, project Joint Venture and Company requirements regarding contracting processes are satisfied; - Compliant contract administration; and - Engage and coordinate with Legal and other functional SMEs for contracting support. Tendering Involvement -Be the SCM focal point for future developments key tasks include; prepare requests for proposal documentation, coordination of subsequent evaluation / award recommendation, lead negotiations and contract development award.
