Health Care Support Worker - Radiology (NE Sector)
Band 3 Health Care Support Worker in the Diagnostic Imaging departments at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, with rotation to Stobhill Hospital and Glasgow Dental Hospital. Full‑time and part‑time posts available. Work over a 7‑day week with the clinical provision running 24/7, 365 days a year.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist Radiographers, Medical and Nursing staff before, during and after Radiographic, Fluoroscopic, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography and MRI examinations.
* Provide direct patient care and support, ensuring comfort and safety.
* Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment.
* Carry out administrative duties and other tasks as directed by the Modality Lead and Superintendent Radiographers.
* Follow confidentiality policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
Working hours: From 1 April 2026, all Agenda for Change posts will have a full‑time working week of 36 hours.
Requirements:
* PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting desirable but not essential.
* Ability to follow NHS policies and procedures.
* Strong understanding of confidentiality.
* Willingness to complete NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health Care Support Worker Induction and in‑house training to gain post‑relevant competencies.
