We have an exciting opportunity to join our Assessment & Intervention Service covering South & West Devon, where you’ll play a vital role in improving the lives of children, young people, and their families across the area. The key purpose of this role is to deliver effective, relationship‑based practice that improves outcomes for our most vulnerable children and families, supporting meaningful and sustainable change.

About the Role
As a Team Manager within Assessment & Intervention you will be joining a committed and passionate service focused on strengths‑based, reflective practice, working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for children in Devon. You will be passionate about relationship-based social work and through reflective supervision with your team, you'll champion their personal and professional growth by supporting opportunities for reflection, learning and development. By building trusting and professional relationships you’ll make a positive difference to the children and families of Devon.
Skills and Experience
As a Team Manager, your skills and experience will include:
1. Experience working within social care, including working in a multi-agency environment
2. Strong leadership and management skills; effectively leading teams, with the ability to develop and support individuals, promoting an environment of continuous improvement where everyone can achieve their potential
3. The ability to build effective professional relationships with children, families, and other professionals, leading to successful outcomes for children
4. A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
5. Satisfactory completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
6. A high-level of written and verbal communication skills*
7. Extensive knowledge and understanding of the legislation, models, and theories relevant to children’s social work
8. Exceptional recording and planning skills
9. Ability to make difficult decisions
10. A valid UK driving licence and access to a car*
