About The Role
Aberdeen HR Systems Squad sits within the Corporate Technology Office and is responsible for managing Aberdeen's core HR systems, with Workday as the strategic tool of choice. Aberdeen is live with Workday Core HCM, Recruitment, Payroll, Extend, Talent and Help. We have an exciting roadmap to further enhance our systems architecture over the next 3 years and to embed and enhance ways of working.
The Senior HRIS Analyst is an expert within the HR Systems Team and is responsible for configuring, developing and maintaining Aberdeen's Workday infrastructure. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders across HR, Technology and other functional areas dependent on HR data.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Product Owner to deliver a backlog view of all priorities.
* Lead the systems aspects of core projects involving scoping, design, delivery and maintenance of Workday changes and configuration.
* Provide subject matter expertise on Workday, particularly HCM, compensation, advanced compensation, absence and recruiting modules.
* Proactively suggest and lead systems improvements, using business requirements to inform technical design, process configuration, security setup and testing.
* Keep up to date on new functionalities and proactively identify enhancements to current ways of working.
* Maintain presence within the Workday ecosystem, connecting with other customers.
* Share knowledge of best practices, system enhancements and reporting with HR, Systems colleagues and the wider HR team.
* Manage complex employee and manager requests via tiered HR support model (using Workday Help).
* Ensure adherence to HR and IT systems governance and change governance.
About The Candidate
* Substantial experience in the Workday ecosystem, with significant exposure to configuring and developing core Workday modules.
* Experience defining and building system requirements for key projects, including annual compensation reviews, with expert knowledge of Advanced Compensation and relevant certification.
* Strong continuous improvement focus, high attention to detail, ability to work independently across stakeholders, and a commitment to excellent service.
* Proven experience configuring, maintaining and enhancing Workday processes, including compensation.
* Completion of Workday training with extensive practical application, ideally covering core HCM, Compensation, Absence and Recruiting.
* Experience in additional Workday modules is desirable.
* Expertise in Extend, integrations and reporting would be advantageous.
* Able to communicate effectively to non-technical stakeholders to establish requirements and identify optimal solutions.
