We are a growing and reputable construction company delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across the Midlands. With a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and excellence, we are looking to expand our team with an experienced Health & Safety Advisor.
The Role
As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in promoting a positive health and safety culture across all our construction sites. You will work closely with site teams, management, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with current legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice on health and safety matters across multiple construction sites
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations
* Identify hazards and implement effective risk control measures
* Support the development and review of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
* Deliver health and safety training, toolbox talks, and inductions
* Investigate incidents and accidents, producing detailed reports and recommendations
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
* Liaise with external bodies, including regulatory authorities where required
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry
* NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential)
* Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to influence and engage teams at all levels
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
Desirable
* Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH or above)
* Experience working on large-scale construction projects
* Additional health & safety qualifications
