Location: South Yorkshire, Barnsley
Salary: £44,100 – £49,613 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible working considered)

Are you an experienced and compassionate leader with a strong background in supporting children and young people? We are seeking a Registered Manager to oversee the operations of a high-quality residential home for children and young people aged 8–18.
This is a great opportunity to join a 22 year, well-established care provider undergoing an exciting phase of growth and development. The successful candidate will lead a committed team in delivering therapeutic, child-centred care within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Role Overview
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding are maintained. You will foster a nurturing, stable, and homely atmosphere aligned with a therapeutic parenting model.
This role is ideal for an experienced manager who values a collaborative approach, encourages team development, and is committed to helping young people achieve positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements
Level 4 qualification in Children and Young People (England), or SCQF Level 7/HNC (Scotland), or Level 3 Residential Childcare
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in residential child care (within the last 5 years)
At least 1 year’s experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a care setting
Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of safer recruitment
Excellent communication, leadership, and IT skills
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to complete a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (England) or SCQF Level 10 (Scotland)
Desirable Attributes
Already enrolled on or qualified in a leadership and management programme
Understanding or experience of therapeutic parenting practices
