A respected accountancy practice in Inverness is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join its growing team. Your new role
In this role, you will work closely with experienced colleagues to support a wide range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and small limitedpanies. You will take responsibility for day-to-day bookkeeping, preparing VAT returns, and assisting with the production of annual accounts. You will also support the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships andpanies. There is also the opportunity to gain exposure to light corporate finance work such as business plans and financial projections as you continue in your development with the organisation. This role offers hybrid working, with a base location in Inverness. You will work hours per week in a flexible and supportive environment.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts preparation or tax, ideally gained within a practice environment, although this is not essential. You will have strong attention to detail, be confident managing your workload and befortable using accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, Sage or similar platforms. Excellentmunication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients will also be important. You will work with a high level of accuracy and display excellent attention to detail toplete work to a high standard. Within this role you will have the opportunity to undertake future training and development.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £25,000 to £28,000 depending on experience, along with the benefits of hybrid working and a permanent full‑time contract of hours per week.
