Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Technician: Maintenance & Fault Response Perform planned electrical maintenance (PPM) in line with the site maintenance programme. Diagnose and repair electrical faults, minimising production downtime. Deliver reactive maintenance (TPM) work where required, ensuring rapid resolution of issues. Inspections & Machine Performance Conduct routine condition inspections to detect early signs of wear or failure. Analyse performance data and advise on improvements to electrical systems. Safety & Compliance Complete dynamic risk assessments before undertaking tasks. Ensure all work complies with regulatory and safety standards. Maintain isolation procedures and safe working practices. Project Work Support engineering projects, including new installations, upgrades, and refurbishments. Commission and test electrical systems as part of plant improvement initiatives. Reporting & Systems Log all activities, maintenance actions, and asset performance in the CMMS. Prepare technical reports to communicate issues and proposed solutions. The Electrical Maintenance Technician we’re looking for: A qualified engineer with electrical bias. (Level 3 NVQ or equivalent) Experience in a manufacturing, production, or process environment. Strong communication and organisational skills. Knowledge of health & safety and safe systems of work. Familiarity with CMMS desirable.
