Are you a Clinical Pharmacist seeking a new challenge and rewarding opportunity to utilise your clinical expertise in an hospital environment? We are looking for proactive clinical pharmacists to join our expanding, dynamic and friendly pharmacy team. The rotations are in many exciting areas including Respiratory, Ophthalmology, Clinical trials, Medication Safety, Haematology, Medicines Information, Acute and Emergency Medicine and Cardiology. The rotations are supported by a team of Advanced Clinical Pharmacists. The role will help expand on your initial training.

Main duties of the job
* Provide a safe and effective specialist clinical pharmacy service to Royal Liverpool Hospitals within a designated specialty for an agreed duration, alongside relevant Advanced Clinical Pharmacists.
* Audit, monitor and develop medicines management within a designated specialty.
* Provide training and routine supervision for rotational band 6 pharmacists delivering services to the designated specialty.
* Assist the Assistant Clinical Director of Pharmacy, Clinical Services, in providing clinical training and supervision of other departmental staff.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Provide a safe and effective specialist clinical pharmacy service to Royal Liverpool Hospitals within a designated specialty with support from Advanced Clinical Pharmacists.

Essential criteria
* Good communication and negotiation skills with professionals, patients and carers (verbal, written and electronic).
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all grades of staff.
* Good organisational and time management skills; ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
* Ability to perform calculations accurately and computer literacy.

Essential criteria
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Able to use initiative and resolve conflicts or difficult situations.
* Able to work with sensitive issues and manage interruptions while prioritising tasks.
* Willingness to work during weekends, evenings and bank holidays as per departmental rotas.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Up-to-date knowledge of current NHS policies, processes and structures including Connecting for Health.
Desirable criteria
* Teaching, training or mentoring skills.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD).
* Non-medical Prescribing qualification.
Experience
Essential criteria
* Experience as a qualified pharmacist across clinical areas with rotation experience at a rotational grade pharmacist level; evidence of ongoing CPD.
Desirable criteria
* Experience delivering pharmacy services to a specialist area.
* Published pharmaceutical research in a peer-reviewed journal.
* Experience in acute/tertiary hospital settings.
Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent; Pre-registration training and GPhC registration; Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent.
Desirable criteria
* Non-medical Prescribing qualification.
