Our client, a leading name in aerospace training, is currently seeking a B1.3 Type Training Instructor / Examiner to join their renowned team in Oxford. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of aerospace professionals through comprehensive training programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting type training theoretical and practical instructional duties for certified aircraft types
Fulfilling the duties of the Theoretical Examiner and Practical Assessor in compliance with CAA/EASA Part-66 & Part-147 regulations
Compiling examination questions for qualified training modules
Serving as an invigilator for theoretical examinations
Ensuring adherence to training and engineering procedures within the department
Acting as the Training Manager during prolonged absences
Maintaining the security and validity of all examinations as per CAA/EASA requirements
Co-ordinating examination timetables
Travelling within the UK and overseas to deliver and receive training
Developing comprehensive training course materials
Job Requirements:
Essential
Extensive practical experience on specific aircraft and engine types, including Airbus Helicopters EC135 variants, MBB BK117-D2, MBB BK117-C2, SAFRAN Arrius 2B Series Engine, Arriel 2E Engine, and PWC PW206 Engine
Experience in a civil aviation environment or equivalent in maintenance, engineering, or design
Familiarity with CAA and EASA regulations
Experience as a Theoretical Examiner and Practical Assessor
Competence in designing and constructing training course materials
Ability to meet the CEFR level B1 for languages as per CAA CAP1528Desirable
Familiarity with Google suite (Gmeet, Google Docs, Google Presentations, etc.)
Experience with synthetic training devices and distance learning techniques
Experience within a civil training organisation
Understanding of EASA UG.CAO.00169
Education, Qualifications or Training:
Essential
Part-147 B1 Type Certificate of Recognition for Airbus/Eurocopter aircraft types and engines such as Eurocopter MBB BK117-C2, EC135 variants, and associated engines
Instructor Certificate recognised by a national authorityDesirable
Holding a CAA B1.3 licence for the relevant aircraft types
Additonal Requirements:
Eligible for DBS Security Clearance and SC clearance
