Apply Now About the role Balfour Beatty have an exciting new opportunity for a Structural CAD Technician to join our Design and Engineering Team in our Power T&D Business You will work with the structural design team to obtain the most suitable interpretation of design information to produce assembly / fabrication drawings and bill of quantities for structural steelwork At Balfour Beatty we have a smart working policy with hybrid and part-time opportunities available. What you'll be doing Use CAD software to produce 2D & 3D models of structural steelwork. Provide technical support to project stakeholders e.g. Site operatives, commercial team, fabricators. Ensure compliance with the Group Minimum Engineering Expectations. Highlight good/bad practice to ensure continuous improvement. Manage their own tasks and deliver them to program and budget. Produce engineering estimates for small projects. Oversee small projects with up to two CAD technicians, managing resource and delivering tasks to program and budget. Ensure work is carried out in line with client and industry specification Who we're looking for Previous experience developing 3D models, producing general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings and bill of materials for structural steelwork. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel.
