Overview
The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project involves planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water’s region. The SPA Alliance is also responsible for a further 260km of future interconnector pipelines and infrastructure. The Supervisor (Electrical) will be site-based and work with project teams to manage site electrical works, delivery teams and sub-contractors, ensuring work aligns with project budgets, delivery programmes and AW approved standards. The role requires implementing and monitoring health, safety, quality, environmental and performance standards, complying with water industry regulations, and highlighting cost and progress issues through proactive, innovative problem solving.
The role will be site-based across the Anglian Water region.
Responsibilities
* Work in accordance with Anglian Water Electrical Safety rules & procedures.
* Implement SPA Integrated Management System requirements and statutory legal regulations, with specific attention to HSE legislation.
* Ensure all electrical plant and equipment is tested and recorded on plant sheets for SPA; ensure subcontractor information is supplied prior to use. Ensure high-quality delivery of finished products by your teams.
* Schedule, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of gangs/site operatives.
* Share and pass on knowledge to site teams.
* Ensure the site team understands and completes all required SPA documentation.
* Order and manage hired/internal/external equipment daily.
* Manage and control plant and materials to ensure adequate stock on site.
* Coordinate delivery/pick up of materials in line with the program and Site Manager.
* Oversee Electricians or Electrical subcontractors and commissioning engineers; assist with commissioning, issue permits to control electrical works/isolations on site.
* Assist in project management from design to delivery, particularly the electrical engineers within SPA and external design companies.
* Ensure completion of a full Induction to Health & Safety in accordance with Company policies and guidance.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Strong communications, collaboration and stakeholder management.
* Open to new technologies and procedures.
* Willingness to undertake extensive further role-specific training.
* Previous supervisory experience in a similar role.
* Understanding of permit systems.
* Ability to read electrical drawings, panel drawings and wiring diagrams.
* Industrial Electrical knowledge including power and controls systems including PLCs.
* Willingness to undertake self-delivered minor electrical installation works.
* Good understanding of WIMES Water (Water Industry Mechanical & Electrical Specifications).
* Willingness to work outside normal hours to suit emergencies and planned work.
