We’re looking for a passionate Assistant Manager to join the team at The Woodman – a well-loved Two Door community pub right at the heart of Rotherham.
Step into The Woodman and you’ll see what makes our pub special. One side delivers the buzz of live sport, big games and a lively bar atmosphere. The other offers a welcoming family dining space, where locals come together for great pub food, relaxed meals and memorable moments. It’s a pub that means something to its community – and we’re proud of that.
As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in bringing both sides of the pub to life.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of the management team, supporting the General Manager and leading from the front on every shift. Whether it’s matchday energy, a busy family service or a quiet midweek pint, you’ll help make sure every guest feels at home.
You’ll:
* Support the General Manager to deliver strong commercial results and KPIs
* Lead, inspire and motivate the team to deliver great service every day
* Take charge of the pub when deputising for the GM, running successful shifts with confidence
* Help create a welcoming, community‑focused atmosphere for locals, families and sports fans alike
* Do the right thing for your team and your guests, every time
What we’re looking for
* Previous experience as an Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager in a similar or branded pub environment
* A hands‑on leader who enjoys being on the floor, not behind the scenes
* Someone who loves sport, community pubs and team development
* Ambition to progress and grow within a supportive business
