About the Role
We have a need for additional Software Engineers with C++ programming skills to join the Ampthill, Bedfordshire Engineering team. This will initially be for a 6 month contract duration.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
The candidate will offer the following essential skills:
1. Proven and demonstrable evidence of capabilities in software engineering.
2. Proven and demonstrable evidence of capabilities in C++ and Object Oriented Development.
3. Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (. Greenhills, QNX, VxWorks).
4. Proven and demonstrable experience of working as part of an integrated team on a large-scale programme.
5. Strong oral and written communication skills.
Any of the following skills are desirable:
6. Work on Safety Related Systems. IEC 65108.
7. Knowledge of UML modelling for software, particularly in Rhapsody.
8. Knowledge of DDS (Data Distribution Systems).
9. Development of embedded systems.
10. Knowledge of CAN/MilCAN buses.
11. Parasoft C++ test development.
