AtkinsRéalis is a leading provider of engineering professional consulting. The UK Infrastructure Project Delivery Practice (PDP) is the centre of excellence for infrastructure delivery. We have opportunities for Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to join our expanding team in Glasgow. Your role will be to manage the project delivery services to our water and defence clients, support the growth of our team delivering defence projects and ensure high levels of client satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality project delivery and commercial management services. You will have some project delivery experience and will support the delivery of major multi-disciplinary design projects across our expanding portfolio of large, challenging projects.


Your Purpose

* Support the successful delivery of the project to agreed targets on programme, budget and quality.
* Provide Project Controls support to the project team where required.
* Identify and manage matters that could pose contractual/commercial risk to AtkinsRéalis.
* Facilitate communication, coordination and information flow with the Client and within the project team, including subcontractors and partners. Assemble and own the project delivery programme and delivery plans.
* Protect the commercial interest of AtkinsRéalis, including timely and accurate invoicing and effective credit control for optimal cash flow (with support from the finance team).
* Compare revenue with predicted costs and identify risk allowances, margin and provisions – at project set-up and monthly thereafter, including Earned Value reporting.
* Assist in closing out the project on completion, archiving project documentation, updating market information, capturing lessons learned and initiating a Client Satisfaction survey.
* Support business development activities in line with market strategies and governance.


What You Can Bring

* Degree qualified, with experience managing design commissions and/or design and build contracts on large infrastructure projects.
* Market sector experience across Water and/or Defence Infrastructure is an advantage.
* Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills both verbal and written.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team with good leadership potential.
* Demonstrable experience deploying various forms of contract, particularly NEC3 or NEC4.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently and within a larger multi-discipline team.
* Customer-focused with strong client relationship management skills.
* Supportive approach to mentoring less experienced team members.
* Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with clients.

Security Clearance

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If applicable, interview discussions will cover how this will be arranged. The vetting process is delivered by UK Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require proof of UK residency of 5 years or longer.
