You’ll be responsible for turning creative concepts into precise construction, bench and CNC drawings, working in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and other modelling software.
Working closely with designers, project managers and workshop teams, you’ll manage drawings from concept through to completion — ensuring accuracy, buildability and alignment with project objectives.

Develop and specify appropriate build methods, materials and techniques.
Share knowledge of new or alternative construction approaches with the wider team.
Support junior staff with training and development.
Communicate clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Attend client meetings and carry out site surveys when required.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience drafting for a scenic construction company or related fabrication environment.
Strong knowledge of carpentry and metalwork construction methods.
Good understanding of materials used across scenic and specialist fabrication.
Hands-on experience within a workshop or build environment.
Proficient in 2D & 3D AutoCAD.
Excellent time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Comfortable adapting to changing briefs and project requirements
