Reception Teacher – Full Time, Long-Term Role – Maidstone

The school is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Reception Teacher to join their dedicated team and make a lasting impact during this crucial phase of learning.
This is a full-time, long-term position ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to begin their journey in a supportive setting—or experienced Early Years educators who want to make a real difference from day one.
About the Role:
As a Reception Teacher, you’ll be responsible for delivering an engaging, play-based curriculum that supports early academic skills and encourages emotional wellbeing. You’ll guide young learners through those all-important first steps in education, helping them grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Delivering the EYFS curriculum with creativity and care
Building warm, trusting relationships with children and families
Supporting each child’s individual progress through continuous assessment and personalised learning
Encouraging language development, emotional expression, and social skills
Creating a positive, inclusive classroom that inspires a love of learning
Collaborating closely with a supportive team of staff and leadership
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Holds QTS and has a solid understanding of the EYFS framework
Brings a genuine passion for Early Years education and child development
Understands the importance of early interventions and personalised learning
Can work collaboratively and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
