The role
will involve short term travel across the UK subject to client and project needs as required.
Typically, you will undertake the following:
1. Managing tasks relating to the consenting of major energy infrastructure projects;
2. Interfacing with clients and partners on projects;
3. Co-ordinating multidisciplinary teams, alongside an NSIP Consents Manager and EIA Project Manager, to complete development consent applications;
4. Identifying and escalating key risks, decisions and issues to the Project Director and NSIP Consents Manager with recommendations for how they can be managed on projects;
5. Take ownership for the quality of some NSIP deliverables ensuring consistency and quality standards are met;
6. Interface with project stakeholders including engineers, land agents, consultation specialists and lawyers.
7. Assisting others with the development of relationships with external project stakeholders, such as local planning authorities, Planning Inspectorate, and key statutory consultees.

About you
If you're interested in applying, we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for someone with most of the following skills and experience:
8. Experience of working on at least one large complex NSIP project;
9. Developing knowledge and understanding of EIA processes and approaches and the NSIP consenting regime, including national policy, the Planning Act and associated legislation, Planning Inspectorate advice and project case history;
10. Evidence of being able to manage and develop client relationships;
11. Experience of co-ordinating tasks with multidisciplinary teams;
12. Experience of working with external stakeholders; and
13. An eye for detail with an ability to deliver a wide spectrum of consenting documentation to a high standard for internal and client review.
