Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting for a Logistics Manager to join our team in Cambridge.
We are working on a major project to build a modern waste water treatment plant at Honey Hill, north of the A14 between Horningsea and Fen Ditton. This new plant will replace the current one in northeast Cambridge.
As a Logistics Manager, you will contribute to projects that impact our environment and communities.
The role of a Logistics Manager includes:
* Ensuring excellence and consistency in logistics execution and management.
* Managing and coordinating vehicle movements and deliveries.
* Reviewing and updating traffic management plans to reflect project schedules.
* Collaborating with the community liaison manager to manage stakeholder expectations regarding construction traffic and logistics.
* Ensuring all supply chain activities align with traffic management plans, delivery logistics, and vehicle specifications.
* Managing on-site security liaising.
* Maintaining compliance with logistics software used for project delivery.
What you'll need:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Management experience in construction, engineering, or logistics sectors.
* Experience managing Construction Traffic Management Plans or similar documents.
* Knowledge of site establishment, operation, and maintenance.
* Understanding of safe operational practices for vehicles, equipment, and loading/unloading methods.
* Experience in materials scheduling and organizing site deliveries.
* Liaison experience with stakeholders including local authorities and emergency services.
* Knowledge of the Code of Construction Practice, CLOCS, FORS, and Safety at Street Works COP.
* Ability to work under pressure in complex operational and political environments, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing circumstances.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Strong organizational skills.
