JOB TITLE:
Social Inclusion Manager

DEPARTMENT:
Social Inclusion Team, Programmes Department Education Team

DIRECT REPORTS:
Social Inclusion Senior Officers

LOCATION:
Stamford Bridge

CONTRACT:
Permanent contract: 35 hours per week, any 5 of 7 days, evening, weekends and unsociable hours as required.

JOB FUNCTION:
To lead Chelsea FC Foundation's Social Inclusion Team across the Foundation's key areas of work. Developing innovative activities to promote and create social change creating social impact, promoting inclusion and equality, building safer, stronger communities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Play Your Part):

* To project manage the delivery, data collection, impact measurement and reporting of all programmes within the Social Inclusion Team.
* Provide effective line management, including support, advice and guidance to Senior Officers to equip them to deliver projects as per the requirements of the funder(s), including responsibility for their QTRs and personal and professional development.
* Ensure all Social Inclusion programmes meet the objectives within the Foundation wide strategy.
* Work with the Head of Community Programmes to identify development opportunities and service gaps within existing provision.
* Support the Philanthropic Partnerships Team and Grants Teams with approaching suitable partners and/or funders as identified.
* Use data to demonstrate outcomes and impact of provision.
* Liaise with internal teams and departments to develop best practice and procedure to ensure the effective delivery of Social Inclusion programmes and that consistency of policy and procedure is implemented.
* To liaise with key stakeholders and funders, building local strategic relationships and partnerships. Attending meetings and briefings on behalf of Chelsea FC Foundation.
* Ensure all contracts, SLAs, bookings and office duties are effectively managed to the benefit of the efficient management of the Social Inclusion Team.
* Ensure success stories are captured through working with Chelsea FC Foundation media staff.

MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE (Here to Win):

* To be recognised as best in class and industry leading within identified areas demonstrating high performance both internally and externally.
* Ensure all initiatives are delivered within the prescribed budget, records of all programme spend is collated in accordance with partner and internal requirements.
* Lead on the Social Inclusion Programmes monitoring and evaluation responsibilities in accordance with the needs of each funder.
* Ensuring programmes are generating identified outcomes and social impact aligned with the Foundation strategy and any funding requirements.
* Complete project reports to a high standard at 6 month intervals, or as and when required either internally or in accordance with the needs of each funder.
* Use best practice and knowledge transfer to grow Social Inclusion Programmes across Chelsea FC Foundation's key working areas.
* Be the Safeguarding and Health & Safety Lead for Social Inclusion Programmes, liaising with associated partner Safeguarding and Health & Safety Team's to ensure a clear line of reporting to CFC Safeguarding Hub and Health & Safety.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:

Qualifications:

Essential

* Relevant professional and/or academic qualifications or a minimum of 5 years' experience in the industry sector.
* A relevant industry Sports Coaching Qualification, Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children Certificates.

Desirable

* Institute of Leadership and Management qualification.
* Youth work or mentoring related qualification.

Experience:

Essential

* A strong knowledge of and experience in working in a management position at a Charity and/or football and sports industry.
* Proven track record of developing and leading a high performing team of contracted and sessional staff members.
* A knowledge and the ability to implement monitoring & evaluation and quality assurance programmes relevant to the industry sector.
* Ability to project manage and organise multiple strands of work to a high level, including managing budgets.
* Knowledge of how to support, manage and develop high performance within teams.
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams, sharing knowledge and expertise whilst supporting others.

Desirable

* Outstanding track record in developing social inclusion programmes and opportunities for hard to reach groups.
* Knowledge and experience of working for a Community Club Organisation, a Sport for Social Change or other related organisations.
* Knowledge of Chelsea FC Foundation and/or our partners and stakeholders.
