It includes oversight of the Scottish Road Works Register and acts as the lead liaison with the Scottish Road Works Commissioner. The postholder advises multi-agency safety advisory groups on network implications for major events and contributes to the coordination and maintenance of the Street Gazetteer. Responsibilities also include supervising staff who handle claims and customer enquiries, reviewing existing policies, and preparing committee reports as required. The role leads the development of the Network Management Quality System and ensures timely delivery of statutory reporting functions.
