Job Title: CNC Machinist - Joinery Location: Sittingbourne Salary: £33,000 plus Overtime Job Type: Permanent, Full Time The Company: At ESM we manage the design and build of exhibition spaces to create an engaging and memorable stand for our clients and their brands. All work is undertaken in house at our Kent headquarters by our experienced team who have been working on exhibition stands and trade fairs for a number of years, bringing both expertise and the latest trends to every project. We produce some genuinely beautiful work from our fully equipped factory and offices in Sittingbourne; working on some fantastic projects for a number of agencies, but also a large volume of work for exhibitors looking to stand out at their events predominantly in the UK. The Position: This is a fabulous opportunity to join a great team of tradespeople manufacturing and delivering custom built exhibition stands to venues throughout the UK and Europe. You will be responsible for taking the drawings of required components, plotting them via our production software, and cutting them via our CNC machine and machine shop, then labelling for fabrication by others. You will also be responsible for H&S, maintanence and cleanliness within the machine shop, and inventory of materials to ensure we always have stock of what we need. There may be opportunities to assist with some stand build, including onsite occasionally for the right candidate. This is a role however that is almost 100% workshop based, and thus it is preferred that candidates are or are prepared to be, forklift trained, and first aid trained. Our core workshop hours are 8hrs a day, commencing at 7am and finishing at 4pm, but paid overtime is often available at various times throughout the year, and it is important to the business that this is worked as much as possible by production staff at the times it is needed. This is a permanent and fully employed position. This role connects the work our draughting (setting out) team do, to the workshop, and is crucial to the successful operation of our business. This will suit someone PC literate, and with an understanding of joinery techniques, with a good level of physical fitness, who is a real team player - looking to be useful and assist the rest of of workshop in all matters production.
