The Role As a History Teacher, you will: Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements Encourage critical thinking, analysis, and independent learning Monitor student progress and provide targeted support where needed Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment Contribute to the wider Humanities department and school community The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification Experience teaching History within a UK secondary school setting Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for History Strong classroom management and communication skills The ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Desirable Experience: Experience teaching GCSE History The ability to teach additional Humanities subjects Experience supporting intervention and exam preparation programmes SEND experience Thrive training or a willingness to undertake professional development Not Thrive trained yet?
