We’re supporting a well-established secondary academy with a strong focus on high standards, inclusion, and consistent systems. They’re looking for a Geography Teacher to join their Humanities team from January, covering a maternity leave. The role is full time and includes a small amount of RS teaching.
The school has a clear structure that helps teachers teach and students learn. Expectations are well communicated, behaviour is supported by routines, and staff work collaboratively across departments. It’s an environment where lessons run smoothly and subject teams share planning and resources.
About the role
1. Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4
2. Deliver a small portion of RS with planning support in place
3. Contribute to a curriculum built around clear progression and strong subject knowledge
4. Work closely with colleagues in the Humanities department to plan, assess, and moderate
5. Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and presentation
6. Build positive relationships with students and support the wider life of the school
