Overview
Our shops play a vital role in raising the essential funds for our Charity. We are currently looking for Shop Managers (Roaming) who would be interested in ad-hoc shifts to join our bank services covering vacant shifts in our charity shops across Cambridgeshire.
Each shop is its own little treasure trove and unique community hub, with our brilliant shop staff and volunteers keeping donations sorted, tidied and flying off the shelves.
Responsibilities
* Run the shop to promote and enhance the image of the charity to all customers.
* Manage the security of the shop premises and stock.
* Make arrangements for opening and locking up at either end of the trading day.
Qualifications
* Good general education with excellent verbal, numerical and written skills.
* Previous experience of working in a similar retail environment with leadership/management experience.
Salary and Employment Terms
Please note that the salary quoted is based on full time hours and will be pro-rata’d for part-time posts. As a Charity with limited funds, it is usual practice for new starters to commence on the minimum of the salary band for the role. Exceptionally, and only for candidates demonstrating significant strengths relevant to the role, we may be able to negotiate on this.
Inclusion and Sponsorship
We are a Disability Confident employer, and welcome applications from candidates with disabilities. Arthur Rank Hospice Charity does not hold a sponsor license; therefore, we are unable to offer sponsorship to individuals who do not currently have the right to work in the UK, or that require sponsorship as a condition of an existing visa.
We are committed to inclusivity, respect, fairness, engagement and equality of opportunity for our patients and their families, our staff and trustees, our volunteers and our supporters. Candidates with a disability that meet the minimum criteria will be guaranteed an interview. We particularly welcome applications from BAME people who are currently under-represented.
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults who draw on care and support and expects all colleagues and volunteers to share this commitment.
