Qualifications required for the Senior Civil Engineering Technician post. The successful candidate must have at least 4 years’ experience in a similar position. The role will split between both the Civils and Structures teams, and good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Site3D is essential. Experience (Structures): • Significant experience of AutoCAD/Revit working in a construction environment • Fully conversant in Revit with AutoCAD experience • A sound knowledge of engineering design principles • Sound knowledge of CDM regulations and the impact of safety in design • Ability to use engineering knowledge to apply technical and practical skills to undertake tasks • Ability to identify problems in own area of work and apply appropriate methods to identify causes and find solutions • Work reliably and effectively without close supervision, or be developing towards this • Ability to accept, allocate and supervise technical tasks • An understanding of construction methods and their impact on designs Role Specific Requirements (Structures): • Work in a design environment with regular exposure to developers, architects and local authorities • Draft and contribute to the design in accordance with the appropriate UK standards and codes • Draft and contribute to the design of foundations and structures in accordance with relevant UK codes of practice • Sound knowledge of UK building regulations • Be responsible for the production of consistent high-quality drawing packages, considering specific client requirements • Provide technical input and support for reports and technical notes • Co-operate with the Quality Management System through adhering to approval processes and undertaking administrative activities • Carry the company brand and reputation through business development and marketing input - Coordinate accurately with all other disciplines including face to face meetings • Review and approving of third party drawings • Control flow of design information for specific projects into and out of the company Are you a Senior Civil Engineering Technician looking for your next role if so my client has a very strong pipeline of work with no sign of letting up.
