Job Summary
Monmouthshire North GP Cluster (NCN) is looking to recruit an experienced Pharmacist who will join our NCN as part of an award‑winning organisation and one of the largest Health Boards in Wales. Our cluster of seven GP practices serves a population of approximately 55,000. Monmouthshire offers a mix of beautiful market towns and award‑winning rural areas within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The GP practices enjoy a great working environment and support a welcoming community ethos with excellent transport links to Cardiff, Bristol, Bath and Gloucester.
For some time our practices have been diversifying their teams to include Health Professionals of varying skills and expertise, and we are delighted to further enhance that ethos by recruiting a Pharmacist. Our practices are used to training healthcare professionals and are keen to use this skill set to help support our campaign.
The Pharmacist will have the opportunity to develop and enhance their skill set with regular personal appraisals. Rota / Working Hours
As per Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, you are required to work 33.75 hours per week (excluding meal breaks). These hours are to be worked Monday to Friday and will not include weekends or bank holidays.
Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
The post-holder will primarily be required to see patients registered with Usk Surgery and Wye Valley Practice. However, there will be a requirement to support other GP practice populations in North Monmouthshire NCN. The role will involve working in main GP practices, but as the important work around delivering care on a Place‑Based basis, you will also be required to work from local Wellbeing Hubs.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Essential
* Masters Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
* Registered with GPhC
* Specialist knowledge through a Postgraduate Diploma and qualifications (e.g. clinical, community, therapeutics) or equivalent
Desirable
* Independent prescriber status
* Experience primary care role working with GP practices
* Experience in running clinics
